This directory exists because the lists that rank for "AI SEO tools" today are affiliate roundups. They copy each other, they carry no dates, and they still recommend products that no longer exist. Two of those products are dead right now: Goodie AI has its domain listed for sale at $150,000, and Bluefish AI sits on a parking page.
So the rule here is narrow and it is the whole product. Every field on every page came off the vendor's own website, the page it came from is linked next to it, and the date it was read is printed with it. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the entry says "not published" instead of filling the gap with a guess.
There are no ratings, no scores, no editor's picks, no affiliate links and no paid placement. Ordering is mechanical: cheapest published price first, then free to start, then demo-only, then anything no longer operating, ties broken alphabetically. Nobody can buy a position, which means position carries information.
Categories are assigned on an observable fact rather than a marketing label, and the rule for each one is printed on the page it governs. The full set of rules is on the methodology page.
Prices here move fast. Entry plans run from $19 to $398 a month, and 3 of the 29 entries stopped operating before this index was even published. So an entry that has not been re-read in 90 days is a liability, not an asset. Keeping those dates current is the work.
